Your monthly financial fingerprint.

Money DNA is a clear, structured breakdown of how your money moved each month — income, spending, savings transfers, and what remained — compared to the month before. It is not a score. Not a personality. Not a credit rating.

Money DNA describes what happened. It does not rank, judge, or predict.

The problem it solves

Bank statements and transaction lists show individual items, but not the pattern. You can see that you spent ₦210,000 last month, but not how that compares to the month before, or whether your savings habits changed.

Money DNA structures your month into four categories — income, spending, savings transfers, and remainder — and compares them directly to the prior month. The result is a one-page picture of whether things improved, stayed the same, or shifted.

Who uses Money DNA

  • 1Someone who wants to know whether their spending actually went up last month, without manually summing transactions.
  • 2A user trying to build a savings habit — tracking whether savings transfers are growing month over month.
  • 3Anyone who received a pay rise and wants to see where the additional income actually went.
  • 4A household reviewing shared finances who needs a neutral starting point for a financial conversation.

What Money DNA does — and what it is not

Four specific functions. Three things it explicitly is not.

What it does

Structures your month into four categories

Income, spending, savings transfers, and remainder — consistently defined and calculated the same way each month.

Compares this month to last month

Shows absolute change (₦) and percentage change for each category — not a rolling average, a direct month-over-month comparison.

Includes connected account data (when AIS is active)

If you have connected external accounts via AIS, Money DNA can incorporate those transactions for a more complete picture.

Feeds Flur AI context

Flur AI can reference your Money DNA summaries when you ask pattern questions — without giving AI unrestricted access to your data.

What it is not

Not a score

Money DNA does not produce a number that rates your financial behaviour. There is no "good" or "bad" outcome — it describes what happened.

Not a personality assessment

Money DNA does not categorise you as a "saver" or "spender" or assign any identity label. Categories describe activity, not character.

Not a credit rating

Money DNA is a private financial summary visible only to you. It is not shared with credit bureaus, lenders, or any third party.

Step-by-step: Kofi reviews his September DNA

Illustrative example — simplified. Comparable starting positions assumed.

1

Kofi opens Money DNA for September

On 1 October, Kofi opens the Money DNA section. Flur has processed September transactions and prepared a structured summary using activity within his Flur wallet.

2

The four categories appear with August comparisons

Income rose from ₦300,000 to ₦340,000 (+₦40,000). Spending rose from ₦180,000 to ₦210,000 (+₦30,000). Savings transfers rose from ₦40,000 to ₦70,000 (+₦30,000). Remainder fell from ₦80,000 to ₦60,000 (−₦20,000).

Illustrative — simplified example

3

Kofi notices the remainder fell despite higher income

Although income rose ₦40k, spending also increased ₦30k and savings transfers increased ₦30k — together accounting for ₦60k more outflows than the prior month, while income only rose ₦40k. Remainder fell ₦20k.

4

He asks Flur AI to explain

"Why did my remainder fall even though I earned more?" — Flur AI uses the Money DNA context to explain: income increased, but combined spending and savings transfer growth exceeded income growth.

5

Kofi sets a Money Plan intention for October

Using the clarity from Money DNA, Kofi sets a spending ceiling for October and increases his savings transfer target — informed by what he saw, not by a score telling him what to do.

Controls, approvals and data scope

Approval

  • ·Generated automatically on the first day of each month
  • ·No manual action required — based on your transaction activity
  • ·External account data included only when AIS consent is active

Data scope

  • ·Flur wallet transactions for the calendar month
  • ·AIS-connected account transactions (when active)
  • ·Savings transfers counted separately from spending
  • ·Internal Flur transfers between your own wallets excluded from income/spending

Outcome states

  • ·Ready: summary generated for the completed month
  • ·Pending: month not yet complete
  • ·Partial: AIS data unavailable — summary shows Flur-only data with a clear label

Money DNA vs. Transactions

These two features are often confused because both deal with financial data. They serve different jobs.
