Shopify
Bring your existing catalogue into connected commerce workflows. Merchants who already sell on Shopify can connect their store to import catalogue and order data into Flur — without duplicating their source of truth.
What the integration does
- ✓Imports your Shopify product catalogue into Flur Commerce catalogue records.
- ✓Brings order data into Flur workflows for buyer-channel fulfilment and tracking updates.
- ✓Allows connected catalogue items to participate in conversational AI matching and pricing rules.
- ✓Propagates fulfilment status updates to the buyer channel that placed the original order.
What it does not do
- ✕Connecting Shopify does not automatically enable AI discoverability — catalogue records must be configured for discovery.
- ✕Does not guarantee real-time sync on all plan types; sync frequency depends on implementation configuration.
- ✕Does not establish a Shopify partnership — this is a catalogue data connection.
- ✕Does not automatically write orders back to Shopify from Flur Commerce activity.
Example: Elegance Boutique
A fictional Lagos-based fashion store connects their Shopify catalogue to Flur Commerce.
The merchant opens Commerce → Integrations → Shopify and enters their Shopify store URL. They authorise the required permissions: read_products, read_orders, read_fulfillments.
Flur begins importing product records. Each product maps to a Flur catalogue entry with variant data, price and available stock state. Items in "Draft" state on Shopify are imported as inactive.
Elegance Boutique sees their 3 test products in the Flur catalogue with sync status. They review each entry and confirm fields look correct before enabling AI discoverability for individual items.
When a buyer places an order through a Flur-connected channel, the order reference is linked to the Shopify order ID. The merchant fulfils via Shopify as normal.
Once fulfilment tracking is updated in Shopify, Flur propagates the tracking reference to the buyer's channel conversation — without the merchant sending a separate message.
Connection states
What the Shopify connection looks like across different statuses.
Imported catalogue (example)
A "Pending" status indicates the record is awaiting field validation or a variant image requirement before being available in Commerce workflows.
Connecting Shopify ≠ automatic AI discoverability
When you connect Shopify, your catalogue records are imported into Flur. That makes them available to Commerce workflows — but AI discoverability is a separate configuration step applied per-product.
Once a catalogue item has AI discoverability enabled, it becomes matchable through the Opportunity Engine and Conversational AI features. This gives merchants explicit control over which products are surfaced to buyers.
